A confirmed Battlefield 4 last month in a trailer posted on the Medal of Honor: Warfighter website. The video revealed those that pre-order the Limited Edition of Danger Close's sequel will be granted access to the Battlefield 4 beta.

Battlefield 4 will focus on modern warfare, DICE general manager Karl Magnus Troedsson has confirmed.

Following the reveal a DICE community manager said the decision to continue the franchise with Battlefield 4 instead of Bad Company 3 wasn't "due to any lack of love for BC inside of DICE".

The Battlefield 4 beta will be available in autumn 2013 and the Battlefield 4 release date is expected to fall in the latter half of 2013.

Darksiders 2 will have a survival option called Arena mode. During the Darksiders 2 Campaign you’ll reach a point where you have “proved your mettle” you’ll unlock an Arena Mode called ‘The Crucible.’

The Crucible will feature 100 waves of enemies that increase in power and difficulty as you progress. Every five waves you complete, you’ll be given a chance to cash out and take some random loot. If you choose to continue, and die at any time you’ll win yourself absolutely nothing. You also can’t grind the Crucible as you’ll earn no experience while in the arena, so if you’re not feeling up to par you’ll have to spend some more time in the single player campaign.

Darksiders 2 will come out on August 21.

Blizzard CEO Mike Morhaime confirmed on Thursday that Blizzard's Battle.net online service was hacked with email addresses, personal security question answers and authentication data stolen.

In a statement posted on the Blizzard website, Mike Morhaime said: "This week, our security team found an unauthorized and illegal access into our internal network here at Blizzard". The list of items illegally acquired by the breach includes email address, answers to user's personal security question plus "information relating to Mobile and Dial-In Authenticators.”

Blizzard will be releasing an update to Battle.net in the next few days that forces players to change their passwords if they haven't already change their secret question and answer and prompt users to update their authentication software.
