DICE have released a new video showcasing their new map Alborz Mountain, designed for inclusion in the upcoming ‘Armored Kill’ expansion. The developers have released a blog entry detailing their intentions behind the map and how they’ve gone about tweaking the terrain fidelity and creating the right amount of cover for the upcoming expansions’ vehicle heavy gameplay.
It contains four new maps (one of which is the biggest in the series' history) and a host of new vehicles, including tanks, ATVs and mobile artillery. In addition, it also includes Tank Superiority Mode, which is a spin on the ubiquitous online staple, King of the Hill.
Battlefield 3’s Armored Kill DLC hits PlayStation 3 for Premium members on September 4, and those who aren’t Premium members will have to wait until September 18 for the regular PSN release and September 25 for PC and Xbox 360.

Numerous reports out of Cologne are saying that Treyarch has revealed that there will not be killstreaks in Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The gameplay staple that thrust this franchise into the spotlight has been modified significantly to focus on "Score Streaks" instead. Additionally Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 MP will have Diablo 3 style unlock system.
The introduction of score streaks means completing onjectives like capturing flags, domination points, defending teammates and other actions will add to your score streak total. These Score Streak rewards range from a number of items, many which were shown in the Black Ops 2 Multiplayer reveal trailer that was recently released. They range from a hulking mech known as the AGR to a Guardian turret that emits microwaves to hinder the enemy.
Levelling up will mean choosing one of seven new pieces of kit to unlock. If you want to grab the six you missed, you’ll have to prestige and reset your character. You’re not restricted to having to occupy certain slots with weapons, and other slots with perks. You can forgo your primary gun in favour of an extra perk, or a “wild card” ability that changes the way your weapon behaves, adding an alternative fire mode or letting you slot an extra attachment onto your weapon. Treyarch refer to the system as “pick 10.” It’s not too far off Diablo 3’s sideways levelling system that lets you slide any unlocked skill into a limited number of slots.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II is scheduled to release on November 13 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, PC, and Wii U.
